Transmit Carrier Injection Point Adjustment
| The SSB audio quality of the Yaesu FT-817 can be improved by adjusting the Transmit Carrier
Injection Point ("TX Carrier Point" -- Menus #56 & 57). The quality of the bass and treble audio response is affected by this adjustment Begin by adjusting the LSB carrier injection point (Menu #56) to -250Hz, and the USB carrier injection point (Menu #57) to +250Hz. Next, have a trusted Amateur give you signal reports as to tweak these settings. |
